The Bradley International Blown Glass Airport Project.
Windsor Locks Connecticut
The
Department of Transportation of the State of Connecticut and Bradley
International Airport has approved this design to be located in
the new terminal A building at the airport. The Airport supports
the concept of this art sculpture being donated and would support
the installation of a plaque naming the sponsors in the immediate
area of the glass wall.
This is a rendering of what the 20' x 25' sculpture will look
like when finished.
The colored tubes will be hand blown glass. The lettering will
be cast in colored glass.
The circle will be hand blown glass rondels which abstractly represents
the different cultures and countries of the world. The plane will
be made with stainless steel tubing.
It will be strategically located on the south wall just at the
entrance of the terminal wing to board the planes.
Bradley Airport is the 2nd largest airport in New England with
6.2 million passengers in 2008.
I am looking for sponsors for this project. If interested please
contact me for further details.
Thank you.
